Managing Alert Recipients

Alerts are raised when an event that you specified in a Monitor or an Integration Process occurs, or when a system event such as a critical error occurs.

Warning: Important! Make sure that the Insight Administrator is designated to receive email notification for Critical Alerts.

Alerts can be sent to individual Recipients or Recipient Groups. Recipients and Recipient Groups can also be arranged into Recipient Maps to allow Monitors to generate Alerts that are assigned to variable Recipients or Recipient Groups, based on the triggering criteria.
