Dynamics 365 As A Target

When connecting to Dynamics 365 as a target, you can configure target steps as described in the TIBCO Scribe® Insight Help.

Note:

For Dynamics CRM 7.1 and later, Dynamics 365 uses the AlwaysOverwrite member of the ConcurrencyBehavior property for Add and Delete operations, by default. If you map the vfRecordVersion virtual field, the Adapter uses that value to compare the record before an update or delete operation:

  • If the values match, the operation is performed on the record.
  • If the values do not match, a row error occurs and the operation is not performed.

To Connect to Microsoft Dynamics 365 As A Target

  1. In the Workbench, click Target > Configure Steps. The Configure Steps dialog box appears.
  2. Click the Data Objects tab.
  3. Click Add. The Add Target Connection dialog box appears.
  4. From the Connection list, select the Adapter for Dynamics 365 and CRM connection.
  5. Continue to configure the steps by adding steps as needed. See the TIBCO Scribe® Insight Help for more information.
  6. See Connecting To The Adapter for the connection settings to use for your version of Dynamics 365.
    Note:
    • You can use both bulk and row-by-row insert, update, upsert, and delete operations.
    • Any account or customer that is set to inactive or closed cannot be updated.
