Generate XML Schema
Generate the schema files required by using the Workbench to connect to an XML schema in the XML Source Connection Wizard:
Note: Every time you add a new publishing object or modify the schema of a published object in Dynamics 365 you should click XML Schemas to generate an updated XML schema.
To Create XML Schemas For A Microsoft Dynamics 365 and CRM Publisher
Schemas generated by the publisher for Dynamics 365 and CRM are saved as .XSD files.
- In the Console, use the Integration Server > Publishers and Bridges node to set up a Microsoft Dynamics 365 and CRM Publisher.
- Open Step 4 Publisher/Bridge Properties.
- Click the entity for which you want to generate a schema.
- Click XML Schemas. The XML Schema File dialog appears.
- Enter a name for the schema.
- Browse to where you want save the schema files and click Save.
- Click OK to close the confirmation dialog box.
- Click Step 5 Activation. Note that the activation options differ depending on the type of publisher you select. For the Publisher for Dynamics 365, specify whether to start the publisher in active or paused mode.
- Click Finish or Apply. If you are generating schemas for an already saved publisher, click Cancel.

To Create XML Schemas For A Dynamics CRM 4.x Publisher
Schemas generated by the Publisher for Dynamics CRM 4.x are saved as .XDR files.
- In the Console, use the Integration Server > Publishers and Bridges node to set up a Dynamics CRM 4.x.
- Open Step 4 Publisher/Bridge Properties.
- Click XML Schemas. The Select Path for XML Schemas dialog appears.
- Browse to where you want save the schema files and click OK. The Creating Schemas message appears.
- Click OK to dismiss the message.
- Click Step 5 Activation. Note that the activation options differ depending on the type of publisher you select. For the Publisher for Dynamics CRM 4.x, specify whether to start the publisher in active or paused mode.
- Click Finish or Apply.
