Changing the adapter settings

The adapter defaults that were initially configured may not be suitable for every DTS file you create. The adapter settings for a single DTS file can be changed at any time from the SalesLogix Adapter Settings dialog box. Changing the settings for a DTS can simplify user input when adding target steps.

Note: Any changes you make only affect the current DTS. The defaults are not changed.

This process assumes you have already created a connection to the adapter. If you have not created a connection, see Creating a connection to the adapter in the Scribe Workbench.

To change the adapter settings

  1. In the Scribe Workbench, click View > Connections. The Connection Manager dialog box appears.
  2. Select the connection for the Adapter for SalesLogix and click Edit. The Connection Settings dialog appears.
  3. Click the Global Connection Settings tab.
  4. Click Adapter Settings. The SalesLogix Adapter Settings dialog box appears.
  5. To modify the user or owner settings, click the User/Owner tab:
  6. To modify address, activity, and other settings, click the Address/Activity/Other Tab:
  7. To display details and version numbers of all Scribe and SalesLogix applications and databases currently in use for the active DTS, click the About tab.
