The adapter defaults that were initially configured may not be suitable
for every DTS file you create. The adapter settings for a single DTS
file can be changed at any time from the SalesLogix
Adapter Settings dialog box. Changing the settings for a DTS can simplify user input when adding target
steps.
Note: Any changes you make only affect the current DTS. The defaults
are not changed.
In the Scribe Workbench, click View > Connections. The Connection Manager dialog box appears.
Select the connection for the Adapter for SalesLogix and click Edit.
The Connection Settings dialog appears.
Click the Global Connection Settings tab.
Click Adapter Settings. The SalesLogix Adapter Settings dialog box appears.
To modify the user or owner settings, click the User/Owner tab:
To modify the default account owner for the connected database, in Default Account Owner, select a default account owner.
The owner you select provides the default for SecCodeID in the Account table. Any SecCodeID fields in tables
that include AccountID fields, including the Contact and Opportunity tables, also have their SecCodeID
values set automatically.
To use the same owner for all tables, select the One User Default for All Tables option and select a default user from the list of users for the connected database.
If you do not select this option, users are prompted to specify a user when configuring a target step in the Scribe Workbench.
To apply your selections to this table, only select. Table-Specific User Defaults.
To convert the data value mapped to the AccountManagerId, SecCode ID, and UserID fields to a valid SalesLogix userID or owner ID, select Convert AccountManagerID, UserID and SecCodeID Fields.
If you are certain that one of these fields already contains a valid SalesLogix userID or ownerID, you can clear this option.
Note: Only clear this option if the source values are valid SalesLogix user and owner IDs, such as when you are moving data between
two SalesLogix tables.
When this option is clear, source fields are included as is.
If you clear this option:
Select a user map from the list of user maps stored in the connected database.
Select an owner map from the list of owner maps stored in the connected database.
To create new maps, click Configure Maps to open the
User and Owner Maps dialog box.
To modify address, activity, and other settings, click the Address/Activity/Other Tab:
To modify the account address types for the DTS, modify the address types in
Account addresses. Separate address types with semicolons (;).
To modify the contact address types for the DTS, modify the address types in Contact addresses.Separate address types
with semicolons (;).

To indicate that an account or contact is to be loaded to the SalesLogix database as private or personal, in Private accounts and contacts, select the checkbox for that account or contact.
To log all database activity that occurs during the data load with this DTS, select Log changes to sync log.
To validate field values against their domain tables, select Field validation. Field validation is performed on the SecCodeID, UserID, and AccountManagerID, as well as others. If a field value fails validation, an error is generated and processing fails.
Note: Selecting this option can slow performance.
To delete root records, and all related records during a delete step, select the Cascade deletes option.
Scribe Insight performs the actual cascade delete. The SalesLogix adapter gathers the relationship information that directs the delete process from the JOINDATA table in the SalesLogix database.
To validate incoming data against the picklist entries for the target field, select Validate Saleslogix Picklist Fields. When this option is selected, the record fails if you insert or update
the picklist field with data that is not on the picklist. When this option is not selected, Insight does not verify that the data
is valid.
Note: To view the picklist items for a target field, open the target field's properties.
To display details and version numbers of all
Scribe and SalesLogix applications and databases currently in use for
the active DTS, click the About tab.
