Adding A Variable To A Custom Query Or Formula

1. Do one of the following in the Workbench to open the Variables dialog box:
   • From the menu, click View > User Variables.
   • From the Configure Source dialog box, click Variables.

     Note: Target variables are not available when you open the Variables dialog box from the Configure Source dialog box.

   • From the Target pane:
     1. Right-click a linked field and select Edit Lookup Criteria. The Edit Lookup Criteria for the selected field appears.
     2. Click Edit Lookup Formula. The Edit Formula for the selected field appears.
     3. Click Show User Variables.
   • From the Edit Formula dialog box, click Show User Variables.
2. In the Variables dialog box, browse through the existing variables and select the variable you want to use.
3. Click Insert in Query or Insert in Formula. The variable is added to the query or formula.
4. Click OK to close the variables dialog box.
