Saving DTS Files

After you create a DTS file, you must save it. The DTS file is saved in your My Documents folder on your desktop, or in the last folder where you saved a DTS file. TIBCO recommends that you use a directory where you always save files and create folders/subfolders in that directory.

DTS files are saved as XML files. If you modify and save a DTS that was last saved with TIBCO Scribe® Insight version 7.6.2 or earlier, you are prompted to save the file in XML format. If you click No, your changes are not saved. Otherwise, your changes are saved in an XML file.

To save a DTS file

  1. In the Workbench main window, do one of the following. The Save dialog box appears.
  2. Browse to the location where you want to save the file, enter a name, and click OK. The file is saved.

To rename a DTS file

  1. In the Workbench, click File > Save As. The Save As dialog appears.
  2. Specify the DTS file name and location, and click OK.

Note: After creating multiple copies of a DTS with the Save As command, verify that the source and target settings in the original DTS are correct.
