Adjust Integration Process Retry Count

When an Integration Process (IP) attempts to process a message, but cannot complete that processing, that IP sends that message to the SCRIBERETRY queue. If the message is processed by either the DEFAULT or a user-defined message processor group, the IP continues attempting to process the message, until the defined number of retries is attempted. If the message still cannot be processed, the message is failed and processed as defined by your IP.

Note:

The retry count only applies to the DEFAULT and user-defined message processor groups. The SERIAL message processor group does not use the retry count.

The number of retry attempts is initially defined as 120 in the Scribe Internal Database, and you can modify this setting, as required by your application. How you modify this setting differs, based on the type of IP you have defined:

Queue IP — Modify the retry count on Step 3 of the Integration Process properties:
1. In the Integration Process properties, click Step 3.
2. Click the On Retry tab.
3. In Allow retries before failing a message, specify the number of retries you want to define.
File, Time, or Query IP — Modify the retry count in the Scribe Internal Database by making these substitutions in the SQL script below:
- 120 — Number of retry attempts you want to use
- IPNAME — Name of your IP for IPNAME.
