Importing a Package Overview

The package you import into an Insight server contains the connections the packaged DTS uses, as well as the collaborations, integration processes, monitors, data views, bridges, publishers, and any supporting files.

Note:  

When you import a package created in Insight 7.9:

  • If the Integration Process is assigned to different Processor Groups, the same Processor Groups must be defined on the target system.
  • You must redefine the connections on the target system.

When importing the package, you can:

Note: To run the Import-Export utility, you must have SQL access to the SCRIBEINTERNAL database.

The import process includes:

  1. Selecting a package
  2. Registrations
  3. Selecting components
  4. Reviewing prerequisites
  5. Accepting or changing connections
  6. Verifying the import (and resolving conflicts)
