The Next Job tab in the DTS Settings dialog allows you to automate running a series of jobs in
a specific order.
Use the Next Job tab to:
Select a series of DTS files to
run consecutively (in a chain)
Set criteria for when to stop processing
a set of chained jobs.
Warning: All chained DTS files must be stored in the same directory.
To open the Next Job tab, click the Settings () icon in the Workbench toolbar or select
Edit Settings from the Run menu.
To use Next Job
In the Enter
the filename of the DTS to run next text box, either enter a DTS name
or click Browse to locate and
select a DTS file to run after the current job. Enter the name of the
DTS only with no path.
To stop a set of chained jobs
when there are errors, you can select one or both of the options:
Don't run the next job if no source rows are found in this job
Don't
run the next job if the specified percentage of source rows are rejected.
If you select this option, enter the acceptable percentage of rejected
rows from the previous job.
Note: If the current job ends in a fatal error, the next job will not execute.
