Next Job Tab

The Next Job tab in the DTS Settings dialog allows you to automate running a series of jobs in a specific order.

Use the Next Job tab to:

Warning: All chained DTS files must be stored in the same directory.

To open the Next Job tab, click the Settings () icon in the Workbench toolbar or select Edit Settings from the Run menu.

To use Next Job

  1. In the Enter the filename of the DTS to run next text box, either enter a DTS name or click Browse to locate and select a DTS file to run after the current job. Enter the name of the DTS only with no path.
  2. To stop a set of chained jobs when there are errors, you can select one or both of the options:

    Note: If the current job ends in a fatal error, the next job will not execute.

    You can use Next Job with prompted variables.
