Adding a Connection

Note: Best practice is to create Connections with credentials that limit permissions in the target system, following the principle of least privilege. Using Administrator level credentials in a Connection provides Administrator level access to the target system for TIBCO Cloud™ Integration - Connect users. Depending on the entities supported, a TIBCO Cloud™ Integration - Connect user could alter user accounts in the target system.

You can add connections from the Connections page or from within a flow.

To add a connection from the Connections page: 

  1. Select Connections from the menu.
  2. Select the Create button .
  3. On the Create a Connection dialog, select the Connector to use for this connection. Use the Search option and the Connector type filters to reduce the list of options.
  4. On the Add a New Connection dialog, add the remaining connection information.
  5. For additional information, refer to the help for the specific Connector by selecting it in the Table of Contents.

To add a connection from within a flow:

  1. Navigate to the flow and open it for editing.
  2.  Select Add Connection from the Connections panel.
  3. Select Create A New Connection.
  4.  On the Add Connection dialog select a Connector Type from the drop-down list.
  5. Add the remaining Connection information.
  6. For additional information, refer to the help for the specific Connector by selecting it in the Table of Contents.
