Metadata Status
Use the Metadata Status option to display the most recent set of requests for metadata from the Connection selected in a Map. When metadata is retrieved by a Connector, a record of each entity returned is stored by TIBCO Scribe® Online and can be displayed to verify that the metadata is loaded and ready to be used by the Map.
Considerations
- Resetting metadata removes all prior metadata requests for the Connection.
- When you open a Map, the Entities list is retrieved for each Connection in the Map, but no other metadata is returned at that time.
- As you modify the Map, metadata requests are generated for a Block when you select entities or related entities for that Block.
- The information in the Metadata Status dialog is not updated automatically. Use the refresh icon or close the dialog and reopen it to update.
- If the Agent is not running, existing requests can be displayed, but no new requests can be made.
- Requests are sorted from the most recent to the oldest. Sorting and filtering is not supported.
- The oldest record is the first metadata request and is always named Entities. Entities indicates that the list of entities has been retrieved, but not the fields. Fields are retrieved as you choose entities in Blocks.
- Metadata Status is not supported for Replication Solutions.
Accessing Metadata Status
