After you have selected your Web Service connection as a source, Web
methods on the Web Service are presented as adapter objects. The fields
of that source adapter object are the input and output parameters for
that Web method.
For the Web method to populate the return value, you may need to define
default values for some
of the input parameters.
You can set values on the SOAP
Header used by the Web method if needed.
After you have selected the Web method to use as a source, you can use
that Web method as an object in the Scribe Workbench.
When setting up a Web Service
as a source, the custom
query feature is helpful when you want to define:
A subset of fields to display in the Scribe Workbench. Use the Fields
tab to define this subset.
Values
for input parameters. Use the Filters tab to define these parameters, which can be constant values or prompted variables. System variables are not supported.
