The Console gives you the tools to configure and view Integration Processes (IP) ,
control services, configure sites and site
security, and complete various other tasks that facilitate job processing.
The Console automatically installs when you install Insight server.
Before opening the Console, you must add users to the Scribe Console Users group.
Be sure to have the users you added to the group log out and log in again
to allow access to the Console.
Before you can use the Console to access a remote TIBCO Scribe® Insight server,
you must add a site.
Site — A remote server or group of servers configured to automate
and monitor IPs. You can automatically pass data between
sites in XML or other text file formats. Sites may correspond to separate
businesses in a trading partner network or various physical locations
within an enterprise.
Integration
Process — Detects an event, such as an XML message in a queue, results
from a SQL query, a file placed in a folder, or a specific time, and
runs a DTS file or any associated scripts or programs. The DTS is configured
to provide data transformation, business rule automation, and data delivery.
Collaboration
— A set of IPs, related files, Monitors, and Data Views.
You can create Collaborations to organize IPs into meaningful
groups of business processes.
Integration
Servers and Administration nodes — Allow you to configure and manage
the Integration Servers, and general site settings. Refer to the nodes
under Administration to configure security and view alerts.
