XML Schemas

An XML Schema consists of components such as type definitions and element declarations. You can use these components to assess the validity of well-formed element information items, and furthermore, you may specify augmentations to those items and their descendants. This augmentation makes explicit information which may have been implicit in the original document, such as Default Values, Data Types, Required Elements, and Read-Only items.

TIBCO Scribe® Insight supports both XSD and XDR schemas and any data types supported with XSD schemas.

To validate a schema, determine whether an element information item satisfies the constraints embodied in the components of an XML Schema, and if necessary, add any appropriate augmentations.
