Editing Multiple Formulas

You can select multiple links on the Data Formulas tab and apply the same change to each link. A typical example would be to apply the TRIM function to several links at once.

To change the formulas on multiple links

  1. Highlight the desired links on the Data Formulas tab. Use the <Shift> or <CTRL> keys to select a range of links or individual links.
  2. Select Edit Data Formula from the Links menu or on the right-click pop-up menu. The Edit Formula dialog box displays for the first link.
  3. Edit the formula for that link by adding a new component to the formula and then click OK.
  4. When you are prompted to confirm applying the changeto all selected links, do one of the following:

Note: You can only add components to a formula for the selected links. Editing an existing component is not applied to the selected links, but causes the Formula Edit Window to appear for each selected link. Click OK to close the Formula Edit window, or click Cancel to exit this loop.
