Use the Performance tab in the DTS Settings dialog to set options that can affect the performance of a DTS job.
The update statistics command can be automatically executed for database engines that support it. This enables peak performance of the database engine when running jobs with large numbers of rows.
You can select various options for updating statistics. The effectiveness of your selections varies according to the database engine; refer to your database's documentation to determine optimum settings for each situation.
Selecting this option may slow the startup of the update process, depending on your source database.
Note: | If your database has over 1 million source rows, selecting this option may cause:

If the target is not a Scribe/DataDirect text file, or if other incompatible options are selected (such as update or delete), this option is unavailable.

Note: Clear the checkbox if an incompatibility or other unexpected problem occurs.
