Troubleshooting Connections To FTP Text File Locations
If you are having trouble connecting to an FTP site with the Text File As A Source or Text File As A Target Connections, try the following:
- Determine whether or not access to the FTP Server is restricted by IP address. If you are using a Connect cloud agent and the FTP site is behind a firewall, you may need to whitelist the IP address of your Connect cloud agent. See Whitelisting Requirements for information on the IP addresses that should be whitelisted.
- Try connecting to the FTP site using an FTP client application, such as FileZilla or WinSCP. Use the same host information and credentials that you plan to use with the Text Connection.
- If you have set up your Text Connection and used the Validate button to verify that you can connect to the FTP Site, but you cannot connect to the text file, open the text file and make sure that each column name is unique and there are no extra spaces in the column headings.
