Resetting Metadata For Text Connections
If you modify field names in the header row of a text file used by a Text File Connection, existing Maps using that Connection generate errors. Reset the metadata for the Connection as follows:
- Select More > Connections from the menu.
- Select Edit from the Gear menu
for the affected Connection to display the Edit Connection dialog. - Select the Fields tab.
- In the pane on the left locate the Entity associated with the updated text file.
- Select Refresh Schema from the Gear menu for that Entity.
Note: If you do not have a pre-existing target text file and you reset metadata, any fields you have manually configured are deleted.
Important: You must correct field links in any Maps that referenced this Text File Connection. Maps using this Connection may generate errors if they refer to field names that no longer exist.
