Plug-In Publisher

A publisher is a component that works with a data source to track which data has been modified over a specified period of time. The publisher feeds that data to an integration process, allowing only the changed records to be transferred to target systems. Use the plug-in publisher with Microsoft Dynamics 365 when it is deployed On-Premise and is configured with Active Directory authentication.

Note:
  • To upload the publisher's plug-in .dll to the Dynamics 365 server, you must be:
    • Logged in as a Deployment Administrator, using Active Directory authentication
    • Assigned both System Administrator AND System Customizer roles in Dynamics 365
  • Set up Deployment Administrators using the Dynamics 365 Deployment Manager.
  • If the English language pack is not installed on the server, the following error occurs when you create a Publisher:

    crmservice.execute(createentityrequest)
The language code n is not a valid language for this organization.

Following is a guide to setting up, configuring, and testing the plug-in publisher components to get the publisher environment ready to use.

To Set Up The Plug-in Publisher

  1. Create a plug-in publisher process on the TIBCO Scribe® Insight server
  2. Configure publisher objects
  3. Generate XML schemas
  4. Create message queues
  5. Share and test message queues
  6. Test the plug-in publisher
