Implement the Adapter for Microsoft Dynamics NAV by installing
and testing the adapter component. If you have not used the adapter before,
TIBCO recommends reading the TIBCO Scribe® Insight Overview and Dynamics NAV Adapter sections.
TIBCO strongly recommends reviewing the adapter's release notes. The
release notes are installed with the adapter, or you can download them
from the TIBCO Scribe® Insight Help Release Notes page.
Set the properties for each NAS instance to establish a connection between Dynamics NAV and the Insight adapter. See Setting The NAS Instance Properties.
If you have multiple companies and multiple NAS instances, assign unique port numbers to each instance. See Assigning Unique Port Numbers.
Import the TIBCO Scribe® Insight .fobs for your version of Dynamics NAV, including: Common .fob and Products And Prices .fob.
Custom information used as custom actions must be placed
in Dynamics NAV tables so that TIBCO Scribe® Insight can access information about codeunits
and their properties.
See Activating The Insight Actions.
Validation rules allow Insight to manage the business logic for entities that TIBCO Scribe® Insight requires. These rules are defined in the Scribe Validation Rules table in Dynamics NAV and applied to the data that is received by Dynamics NAV. See Importing Default Validation Rules.
In TIBCO Scribe® Insight, set up your Adapter's Connections to Dynamics NAV. See Connecting To The Adapter.
Configure the Publisher
for Dynamics NAV to publish new and changed data to the ScribeIn
message queue as XML messages. These messages can be used as source data
for Insight integration processes or forwarded to other non-Insight processes. The Publisher for Dynamics NAV is installed as part of the
adapter installation. See Configuring The Publisher.
