Setting up Saleslogix database connections

To set up the Saleslogix database connections, log on as administrator.

Warning: Make sure that the database connections in Saleslogix are configured before setting up the Adapter for Saleslogix. For more information, see the Saleslogix documentation.

To set up the Saleslogix database connections

1. Install the appropriate Scribe bundle (Scribe*.sxb) for your database:
   • Microsoft SQL Server database — Scribe - MSSQL.sxb
   • Oracle database — Scribe - Oracle.sxb

   Note: To install the Scribe bundle, use the Saleslogix Administrator's Bundle Manager located in ..\Program Files\Scribe.
   

2. From the Saleslogix client, use the Saleslogix Data Link Manager to set up at least one Saleslogix database connection.

   These database connections are used when connecting to Saleslogix as either the source or the target.
