Use The Alert Log To View And Manage All alerts
generated at the selected site. A Site is a remote Insight server that serves as a node
in your Integration and provides its logical organization. The information
you want to share between different nodes originates, passes through,
or terminates at a Site. Individual Site
nodes are listed under the Console node in the Console Console.
To View
The Alert Log
Expand the Console site node.
Expand the Administration
node, and then click Alert Log.
The Alert Log window
opens.
Select an alert from the list.
The Alert Log contains the following columns:
Alert ID — A
sequential number assigned when the alert is generated.
Status — Acknowledged,
Alerted, or Resolved
Alert Type
— Critical, Errors, Information, or Warning
Category
— Integration Process, Monitor, or System
Source
— The source of the alert, for example, the monitor name, the Integration
Process ID number, or a system error.
Description
— The Alert description as defined when the Integration Process or the
Monitor was configured.
Collaboration
— The Collaboration associated with the Integration Process that failed.
Alert Date
— The date and time of the alert.
Resolved Date
— The date and time you resolve the alert.
Note: You can also
view the Alert Log for a specific Collaboration.
Filtering and Sorting the Alert Log
The Alert Log displays the alerts in columnar format. You can change which alerts display using the filters,
and you can sort the order that the alerts display in the columns, but you cannot change which columns display.

the Alert Log allows you to see only those alerts that meet the filter
criteria.
You can filter on an alert status and alert type:
Alert Status
Not Resolved
Not Acknowledged
All
Alert Type
You can select any combination of alert types.
Critical
Errors
Warning
Information
Sorting
You can sort the Alert Log by Alert Date:
Desc — Descending.
Displays the newest alerts at the top of the list.
Asc — Ascending. Displays the oldest alerts at the top of the list.
Note: If you change
the filter or sort options, the changes do not take affect until you click
Refresh.
Using the Alert Log Command Bar
The following options are available from the Alert Log Command Bar:
Hide/Show Details —
Toggles the display of Alert Handling
and Alert Details at the bottom
of the view.
Delete — Deletes
a selected alert from the view. Use the CTRL and SHIFT
keys to select and delete multiple alerts.
Refresh — Updates
the view with current data from the server.
