Resolving Update Or Delete Conflicts

Conflicts may occur during Update and Delete operations. A conflict could mean overwriting target data that you know should not be changed. To prevent this, you can choose to update only when specific conditions are met.

To set conflict detection options

  1. In the Workbench, click Configure Steps. The Configure Steps dialog box appears.
  2. Click the Operation tab.
  3. In Operation, click one of:
  4. Under Perform Update/Delete Operation, select Conditionally when to enable conflict detection settings.
  5. Select the Step Field from the drop-down menu.
  6. Select the Operator from the drop-down menu.
  7. In the Source Field or Formula area, reference a source field or create a formula whose value will be compared to the Target Field.
