After the source is defined, you define the criteria that causes an alert to be created.
Click Step 3 — Alert Criteria. The options available on the Alert Criteria page vary depending
on whether you are defining a query Monitor or a queue Monitor:
Query Monitor
Click Source Configure.
The Configure Source dialog box appears.
Do one of the following:
Select Single Data Object to specify that the alert is based on all the data
from the source.
Select Custom Query to define a new query or open an existing query to trigger the alert.
In the Alert Conditions area, specify the condition that triggers an
alert:
Row count
Select the Row Count option.
Enter in Row(s) a number of rows, then specify in Operator a comparison
operator:
Equals
Greater Than
Great Than or Equal
Less Than
Less Than or Equal
Not Equal
Field value
Select the Field value option.
Select from Field the field associated with the selected data object that is being
monitored.
Select in Operator a comparison operator.
Enter in Value the numerical field value to trigger an alert. See above for operator
values.
If you want to create a separate data object alert for each row that generates an alert, select
Create an Alert for each matching result row.
In the Alert Recipients area, specify if alerts are sent to a variable list of recipients
or if alerts are sent to a set list of recipients:
Variable Recipients
Select Variable.
Select from Field from Query to provide value the field name that contains contact
information for your recipient.
In Default Recipient or Group to Alert, either leave the displayed value,
or click the Browse button and specify in the Select Recipient or Group dialog box the
group or individual who should receive the alert. This value is used if no value is provided
in the specified field.
If the value from this data object field contains contact information for the recipient of the
alert, select the Value is Recipient or Group to Alert option.
If the value from this data object field does not contain contact information, select the
Use value with Map option.
Fixed Recipients
Select Fixed.
In Default Recipient or Group to Alert, either leave the displayed value, or click the
Browse button and specify in the Select Recipient or Group dialog box the group or
individual who should receive the alert of the specified field.
Queue Monitor
In the Unique Message Identification area, set any criteria to identify incoming
messages that need to be processed:
Message label — Associates a message type with the Integration Process.
Scribe label — Associates with the ScribeLabel root node
attribute in the message body.
For example, in the following, CompanyContactData is the RootNodeName, and
ScribeLabel must be used:
<CompanyContactData ScribeLabel="MyScribeLabel">
XML root node — Associates with the root node name found in the message body.
XML schema — Specifies the Scribe-specific schema file that is used by the associated
DTS to process the data. The schema file pathname is available to label an integration process, but it does
not perform any tasks as part of the collaboration. The schema file is installed in
*\Public\Public Documents\Scribe\Collaborations\<collaboration name>\ and has a filetype of .xdr.
From the Alert Conditions area, define the alert conditions by selecting either or
both of the following:
To trigger an alert when a set number of messages are written to the queue, select
Message count in queue greater than X and enter the number of rows that
triggers an alert.
To trigger an alert when any message has been in the queue for a set time, select
Message duration in queue is greater than X Minute(s) and enter the number
of minutes that triggers an alert.
If you want to alert any recipients when the defined conditions are met, in the Alert Recipients area, click
the Browse button and select from the Select Recipient or Group dialog box the recipient or recipient
group for the alert.
