Creating Integration Processes

You can use the Console to configure Integration Processes (IP) that automatically run jobs when pre-defined events occur. An Integration Process (IP) detects an event and runs a DTS to modify and integrate your data. Events that an IP detects include a message being written into a queue, the results from a SQL query, a file being placed into a folder, or a specific time.

Before configuring an IP, you need to know:

The name of the DTS file or files that you want to include. Data translation specification ( DTS) files (*.dts) load data from a source database to a target database.
An event to use as a trigger to run a job. This event can be:
- a time interval
- a time of day or day of the week
- a new or changed file
- a changed database table or application data object
- results of a source query in the DTS
- message-based, on arrival in the Scribe Input Queue
