Version 2.4.0 Release
Released: November 19, 2019.
New And Noteworthy
- Added a new ISFIELDSET function for the Formula Editor. Use this function to determine whether or not the specified field was returned by the Connector. See ISFIELDSET for additional information. (SCCORE-1224)
- Added the Managed Connectors option to the More menu for users accessing TIBCO Scribe® Online as a capability of TIBCO Cloud ™ Integration. See Managing Connectors In The TIBCO Scribe® Online Marketplace. (SCCORE-1409)
- Added Conditional Field Mapping options to the Block Properties Fields Tab for target operation Blocks. Conditional Field Mapping allows you to control whether or not a value or field is written to a target datastore based on the contents of the source data. For example, if there is a NULL value in a source field, you can choose to overwrite target data with the NULL value or skip that field when updating a record. See Conditional Field Mapping for detailed information. (SCCORE-1299, 1224, 1223, 1222, 201)
Agent
NOTE: If you plan to use the new IsFieldSet formula function in a Map, your On-Premise Agent must be upgraded to the latest version. Attempting to use this function without allowing your Agent to upgrade prevents the associated Map from preparing and saving correctly. (SCCORE-1224, SCCORE-1254)
Closed Issues
SCCORE-1291
On-Premise Agents running on an operating system with the timezone set to UTC that received multi-byte character (UTF16) data during Cloud synchronization, had dates converted to a DateTime with a Kind of Local instead of Unspecified. This caused subsequent Cloud synchronization requests to fail. (Case # 01799063)
Version 2.3.0 Release
Released September 17, 2019.
New And Noteworthy
Modified the functionality of the Help link on the global navigation bar displayed when using TIBCO Scribe® Online as a capability of TIBCO Cloud ™ Integration. The link now opens a side panel with links to the Help and other sources of information instead of going directly to the Help. (76259 / SCCORE-141)
Agent
IMPORTANT NOTE: We are updating the TIBCO Scribe® Online Agents to leverage Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 in this release. Customers using On-Premise Agents need to ensure that the .NET version for any computers running an On-Premise Agent are upgraded to .NET 4.7.2 or higher. If you only use Cloud Agents they will automatically be updated and no action is required on your part.
If the server where your On-Premise Agent is running is not upgraded to Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2, the Agent will not be upgraded. (SCCORE-114 / SCCORE-198)
If you install a new On-Premise Agent and Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 is not running on the installation machine, the Agent installer automatically installs Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 for you.
Additional information can be found on the TIBCO Community.

Changes In Functionality
Agent
Starting with Version 2.2.0, TIBCO Scribe® will only support the current Agent version and one version prior. You may be affected by this change as follows: (75347)
- Agents older than one release back will not be upgraded automatically in future releases when the Do Not Upgrade setting is removed. In this case you must download and install a new Agent and then add the new Agent to each Solution manually.
- Installed Connectors will not be upgraded automatically when new Connector versions are released.
- Existing Solutions will continue to run, but if you have a Solution that is incomplete or disabled, you cannot edit that Solution until you install the latest Agent.
- If your Agent is too old to be automatically upgraded, Obsolete, install new Agent displays as the Agent status. You must install a new Agent manually, edit your Solutions to use the new Agent, then delete the older Agent.
Closed Issues
Connections
69572
When two users had the Connection dialog open for the same Connector with different Connection credentials, if one user validated and saved the Connection information, the second Connection dialog refreshed and updated with the data from the first Connection dialog. (Case # 66591, 01726717)
Solutions
76254 / 76301
Request/Reply Maps were not sending a reply for the first request if the Map was idle for a long period of time.
71108
For some Connectors, if API calls included query filters that were strings or numbers, TIBCO Scribe® Online changed the data type and value based on the content. For example, a string that contained the value 2.1 was converted to a DateTime and sent as 2/1/2018 12:00:00 am. (Case # 65823)
67395
Occasionally a deleted Integration Solution continued to execute on its original schedule. (Case # 65966, 01726101)
64732 / 65493
When TIBCO Scribe® Online received a large number of messages destined for Event Solutions, it caused the User Interface to refresh once per inbound message making the UI slow. (Case # 65833, 68681, 68781, 1725968, 1728801, 1728901)

(Case # 70125, 70296, 70299, 70341, 70343, 70344, 70345, 70346, 70347, 70356, 70377, 70381, 70397, 1731774, 1732692, 1731686)

Agents
74835
TIBCO Scribe® Online Organizations with a high volume of running Solutions that generated record errors caused the Agent database to exceed its limits before the data could be synchronized to the TIBCO Scribe® Online Cloud. When the Agent database filled up, the Agent would not run, which prevented Solutions from being executed.
The process that removes unnecessary records from the Agent database has been improved to remove any records that have been synchronized to the TIBCO Scribe® Online Cloud immediately. (Case # 69176, 69411, 69555, 69579, 69580, 69583, 69617, 69622, 69624, 69627, 69681, 69778, 70208 )
Version 2.1.0 Release
TIBCO Scribe® released the Version 2.1.0 update to TIBCO Scribe® Online on January 4, 2019.
New And Noteworthy
Text Connector
The Text Connector is no longer installed automatically when you install an Agent. This Connector is now available for download in the Marketplace. (62116, 71429) See Text File As Source/Target Release Notes for additional information.
Upgrade Notes:
- If you do not have a Text Connection configured, the Text Connector is removed from your Agent installation folder. You can install Text File as Source or Text File as Target Connectors at any time from the Marketplace.
- If you are currently using the Text File as Source or Text File as Target Connector, the upgrade process does the following:
- Separates Text File as Source and Text File as Target Connectors into the new Scribe.Connector.Text.Source and Scribe.Connector.Text.Target folders in the Agent installation folder. (71416)
- Each Text Connector folder has its own FolderAccess.txt file that controls access to the directories where your text files are stored. The original FolderAccess.txt file is copied into the new Text Connector folders, making all prior folder access configuration available. See Providing Access To Local Text Files.
- The ..\Scribe Software\TIBCO Scribe® Online Agent\DataExchange and ..\Scribe Software\TIBCO Scribe® Online Agent\DataExchange\Sample Leads folders are not affected during the upgrade process.
- Requires the latest Agent version. If your Organization has Agents locked at a specific version, this upgrade does not take place and your Text Connector continues to work as it always has. (71384)
Closed Issues
Maps
71441 / 71735
Enhanced metadata lookup process in Solutions to improve Map performance. Note: Performance improvement varies greatly depending on the number of Maps containing fields with special characters. If there are no special characters, performance improvement may be negligible. (Case # 67027)
Execution History
68465 / 68066
Source data for failed records stored on the computer where your Agent is installed when the “Only store source data on Agent” is enabled on the Organization Security dialog, was being removed within 30 minutes of being stored instead of being kept for 45 days. (Case # 66422, 68725)
