Step 3 — Event Settings

You must define properties that are associated with the specified Process IP.

1. Specify the properties for the IP:
   • File IP Settings — Trigger a job to run when a specified file is transferred, created, or modified in a specified directory.
   • Time IP Settings — Trigger a job to run once, at a specific time, or periodically based on a specified schedule.
   • Query IP Settings — Trigger a job to run when the source query in the DTS returns at least one row.

     Note:

     By design, a Query IP only opens the source connection specified in the DTS to execute the source query. If the source query contains any formulas or functions that use another connection, the query fails. For example, if the source query contains a SQL Query function that uses a target connection, the source query fails.

   • Queue IP Settings — Specify the criteria used to determine whether or not to process a message.
2. Proceed to Step 4 — Activation.
