Step 4 — Activation

Activation parameters indicate when the Integration Process (IP) is active.

For example, if a number of jobs are being directed to a queue to be processed once a day, you can start that IP in the paused state and activate it for a set time when all the jobs that were placed on that queue during the day can be processed. IPs for jobs that must be processed throughout the day would start with an active status and not be limited by a time range, but run all the time.

Specify activation properties

  1. In Status, specify the initial state of the IP, one of: active or paused.
  2. If you want to specify a time period during which the IP is active:
    1. Select the Range enabled check box.
    2. In Start time, set the time of day the IP is to be activated.
    3. In End time, set the time of day the IP is to be paused.
  3. If you want each job from this IP included in the default Execution Log view, select the Show in Execution Log check box.
  4. Specify in Auto Recovery how the process responds if it encounters an error that prevents the process from running:

These options are disabled for Queue IPs.

  5. Proceed to Step 5 to finish Process configuration.
